It is perfectly fine to have a resume longer than 1 page, especially if you have work experience (yes, academic job counts as work experience). When describing your area of expertise, it is important to know what keywords to use so that your resume makes it past the algo filter and a human actually takes a look at it. Just like academia, industry has its specialized jargon, and if your resume does not include ares firms are interested in, no one will waste their time with you. Remember, unlike academia, firms receive literally thousands of applications for a position, so it is not really feasible to read more than say 1% of submitted resumes. There are service which specialize in gaming the algo filters, they cost about $100 as far as I recall. I suggest you use one of these if you are serious about your application hit rate.
